My name is John K. Stubblefield but you may call me JKS for short (after all it is one letter shorter than John). This is a blog for my final Honors Course at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. I am an English Major who enjoys reading, writing, and watching films. My goal is to become a screenwriter. It blends my two favorite hobbies – film and writing. For those looking for reading material, may I suggest “Something Wicked This Way Comes” by Ray Bradbury, for a thrilling coming of age tale that weaves horror, nostalgia, adolescence, philosophy, and the carnival all together. Plus, its title is quite appropriate for a course about the apocalypse. For my film and television aficionados, I highly recommend “Stranger Things” (though you’ve probably already seen it), “Narcos,” and “Into the Wild”.
I am also a die hard lover of warm weather, superb sunsets, wondrous wildlife, and amazing adventures! In appropriate weather, you can find me on the tennis court, typically with my twin brother Tim (Say this three times fast: Tim’s team tennis Tuesdays take ten times longer when Tim’s tired, timid or tepid). Also, one last piece of advice – take time to travel because there’s so much to see in the world. We only have so much time.
